Last year I had the incredible experience of creating a hearing loss awareness course for a fantastic company. I had the tremendous opportunity to meet and work with Daniel Williams at Visualise Training and Consultancy. After Meeting Dan and sharing his vision for total inclusivity in the workplace, I created an online course for deaf awareness for his company.
Rarely a work project can become such a personal and delightful experience, and working on this course was one of those times for me.
Dan Williams has refused to allow his disability to stop him from helping others. He also shares a dream with me of educating the non-disabled mainstream society in all it means to be inclusive.
I recommend all of Dan’s services and courses unreservedly.
Invisible disabilities impact a person’s life in many ways, and one of the areas hit hardest is the workplace. There is so much that can be done to facilitate the work colleague with hearing loss, and with the knowledge obtained from this course, you will feel confident enough to interact with them without feeling confused or helpless.
Deafness is not an illness; it is really just a set of communication challenges. Someone with hearing loss can do almost anything in the workplace or outside of it.
With online deaf awareness training, you will learn about deafness and have fun learning. You’ll learn such things as:
- Identifying Hearing Problems
- Types of Hearing Loss
- The Emotional Impact of Losing Your Hearing
- Correct Terminology and Living with Hearing Impairment
- Hearing Loss in the Workplace
- Assisted Technology and Communication
- Tinnitus
- And more besides.
You can use the course to gain valuable CPD points, and you will also be able to download a certificate of completion at the end.
